Building a PCI-Compliant Payment Platform for a Fintech Startup

The Challenge

A Series A fintech startup needed a PCI-DSS compliant payment platform that could process 50,000+ daily transactions. Their existing MVP was built by freelancers and couldn't handle growth — transaction failures were increasing, compliance gaps were flagged by auditors, and the codebase was unmaintainable.

Our Solution

We rebuilt the platform from scratch with a microservices architecture on AWS. We implemented PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance with tokenized card storage, end-to-end encryption, and segregated payment processing environments. The frontend was rebuilt in Next.js with real-time transaction dashboards.
